Brady turned four this past Tuesday. I really can’t believe it’s been a whole four years since he was born. He went from a tiny little thing that cried constantly to an independent little boy who amazes me everyday. Just four years ago I wondered if he would ever be able to sit up or hold a toy. Now he follows the directions on Legos meant for 6-year-olds with no problems, invents whole worlds for them, and then gives them theme songs.
It’s been a hard road, but I wouldn’t change a thing. He may be stubborn and whiny, but he’s one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever encountered in this world and I thank God for him everyday.
Side note on kids’ birthdays. A friend and I were discussing how spoiling the kids for a day is just as great for the parents as it is for the kids. It’s awesome to throw out most of the rules for one day and just make them happy for 24 hours. There’s really not much better than making your child sublimely happy
