It’s been almost two weeks and I’m just now getting around to writing about Declan’s birthday party. I would have just scrapped it, but I really wanted to show off my Very Hungry Caterpillar cake. It’s the crowning achievement in my cake-decorating career!
In addition to the cake, it honestly was a perfect day. We were in Central Park and the weather was nice, the company was great, the food was yummy (thank you fairway), and there was even a jazz band playing just far enough away to add a nice ambiance. The older kids had a great time playing in the trees and the babies hung out on blankets and toddled around. I couldn’t have asked for a better day for Declan’s celebration.
